Abstract
Troughing idlers are used for conveying bulk materials, and their trough angle is 30°.
Precautions for using troughing idler conveyor belts:
1. Prevent the conveyor belt from starting under load.
2. If the conveyor belt deviates, take measures to correct it in time.
3. Conveyor belts of different types, specifications, and layers should not be used together. Their joints should preferably be glued.
4. The type, structure, specification, and layers of buffer idlers should be determined according to usage
5. The running speed of the conveyor belt should generally not exceed 2.5 m/s. For materials with large size and high abrasion, and for unloading devices using fixed pears, low speed should be used as much as possible.
6. The relationship between the diameter of the driving roller of the roller conveyor and the layers of the conveyor belt, the matching of the driving roller, the elevating machine reversing roller, and the requirements for the trough angle of the idler should be reasonably selected according to the design regulations of the conveyor.
7. The feeding direction should be in the direction of the conveyor belt's running. To reduce the impact of the material falling on the conveyor belt, chutes should be used to reduce the falling distance of the material. In the receiving section of the conveyor belt, the distance between the idlers should be shortened and buffer idlers should be used to prevent leakage. For the conveyor belt, a moderately soft baffle plate should be used to prevent the baffle plate from being too hard and scratching the surface of the conveyor belt.
8. When using friction idlers, if any idlers are missing, they should be added and repaired in time. If the idlers are covered by materials, causing them to rotate poorly, prevent leakage from being stuck between the conical idlers and the belt. Pay attention to the lubrication of the moving parts of the conveyor belt, but do not oil the conveyor belt.
9. Avoid the conveyor belt from being obstructed by the frame, pillars, or block-shaped materials, preventing it from being bumped or torn. If local damage is found on the conveyor belt of the bucket elevator, it should be repaired in time with artificial cotton to prevent it from expanding.
